Dial CoffeeDial CoffeeYour email address and display name (for your account), and the content you create in the iOS app or the web app (app.dialcoffee.site): reviews, brew logs, saved brew methods, and coffees you add to the catalog.
Your email is used only for sign-in and account recovery. Your display name appears next to content you share. Brew parameters you log are aggregated (per coffee, per method) to power community brew statistics.
Reviews, brew logs, and coffees you add are visible to other Dial Coffee users under your display name. Your email is never shown to other users. Saved brew methods stay private to you.
Account data and shared content are stored with Supabase (our database provider). Catalog searches run against Dial Coffee's own database. The web app is served through Cloudflare, which handles network traffic (including IP addresses) to deliver it. Exploring the web app without an account creates an anonymous guest account with no email attached.
On iOS, the app shares anonymous crash reports and performance measurements — launch time, freezes, memory use, and how long its own operations take — collected by Apple's MetricKit on your device. These are filed under a random id for this install, never your account, and contain none of your coffees, brews, reviews, email, or location. Turn it off any time in Profile → Diagnostics & Privacy; doing so also forgets the random id.
The web app sets only first-party cookies needed to keep you signed in. Your display preferences (appearance, units) and recent Discover searches are kept in your browser's local storage and never leave your device. No analytics or advertising cookies.
No advertising, no tracking SDKs, no sale of personal data, no analytics that identify you, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Export everything you've created from Profile → Export My Data. Delete your account from Profile → Delete Account — it permanently removes your account, reviews, and brew logs from our servers.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
